Statement :
I am an artist and educator. I have accomplished college and community teaching with outstanding classroom management skills and have a passion for helping others learn and reach their full potential. I have taught college level, workshops, and short term art classes with students of all ages to engage in hands-on learning. I have created a well-managed classroom and integrated skill sets for both group and individual learning experiences. In addition to my skills in ceramics, I bring with me a strong sense of community and a willingness to sit down with students and help them succeed in meeting their artistic goals.

- AIR is compensated with a private studio space, all firings, and studio materials. In exchange to volunteer 5 hours a week to assist in the technical aspects and creative environment of the ceramics studio and teaching ceramic classes through the PC Community Education program.

- Ceramics Coordinator: oversees the studio area, maintaining all lab materials being created in the studio, such as glaze, clay bodies, and other ceramic material making. All class kiln operations and maintenance of electric, gas, raku, soda kilns. Cleaning and organizing the studio, repairing pottery wheels, and inventory control. Classroom support and instruction in assisting students, artist in residence members, and community members with technical questions, and instruction on safe studio practices. Management of community members who volunteer their time to monitor the studio outside instructors’ teaching times. Assisting instructors with class when needed.
